One of my favorite stories concerns famed martial artist, Bruce Lee, and his desire to be trained by a local Master. At the time, Bruce had extensive fight experience and a background in martial arts training. He approached the Master, and after making the customary bows, asked him to be his teacher.
What would someone watching think?
Think about what your actions tell the people around you. Based on your behavior, would the people around you be surprised to hear about your goals and dreams? A person’s behavior has always been a more effective and convincing communicator than their words.
We are at a pivotal point in our great history. The time has come to stop pointing fingers and to start changing lives. Indifference has plagued our society and blame has spread like the deadliest cancer. It’s time to care; it’s time to take responsibility; it’s time to lead; it’s time for a change; it’s time to be true to our greatest self; it’s time to stop blaming others –
In this busy world we should never be a stranger to love and compassion. It is the fertile soil in the garden of peace. We must welcome them into our hearts and teach them in our homes. Love and compassion must be cultivated and nurtured like the most precious of our possessions.
