When You Keep Choosing Axes

I’m a ninja at self-destruction.

So when it comes to relationships, I understand that the hardest pattern to recognize is the one we often refer to as, “chemistry.”

It’s sad that we get attached to the way certain people abuse us.

 

We can become so familiar with a certain kind of person, a certain kind of chaos, or a certain kind of emotional pain that it starts to feel like attraction. Not because it is healthy. Not because it is love… but because it is familiar.

 

Sometimes we fall into a cycle that feels like we’re a tree that keeps falling for axes.

 

It takes a lot of self reflection and accountability to recognize this cycle and COURAGE to take the steps needed to break it. Take a close look at the WHY in this cycle… That question is not about shame. It is about awareness. Because once you can see the pattern, you can interrupt it.

 

Healing takes time, consistency, and perspective.

As you heal, you’ll notice changes in your taste. What once felt exciting may start to feel exhausting. What once felt like passion may start to look like instability. What once felt irresistible may simply look dangerous.

 

It’s a difficult but worthy endeavor. Slow and steady… It’s time to stop being attracted to what keeps cutting you down.
